FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT DMP 73-111

Description

DMP 73-111 is a concentrated coagulating agent used as a precipitating aid and sludge conditioner in waste treatment system. It is available pre-mixed from DMP, or in dry form to be mixed on site.

Application

DMP 73-111 is readily diluted with water for use. As little as four parts of water may be used for each part of concentrate. The diluted polymer may be injected into a flowing stream, pipe, or it may be metered to an agitated flocculator tank.

Tips On Flocculation:

Best agitation for optimal floc formation is mild but thorough. Low speed agitators are best. Do not use high speed agitators or pump recirculation for mixing. High speed agitation will shear or break up the floc formation.

Note: DMP 73-111 is non-toxic and non-flammable. It is however, an industrial material and should be treated as such.

Warning: Spill of concentrated DMP 73-111 can create a hazard because it is extremely slippery. Spills should be collected and carefully discarded. Spills can be collected by putting speedy dry or similar absorbent on the area. Then it should be shoveled up and disposed of properly. Do not flush the spill with water as this will increase the slippery condition. After a spill has been cleaned up the area may be mopped or wiped with a dilute bleach solution. This will destroy any residual traces of the polymer.
